The grass was wet this morning as Annie and I stepped out into the yard. Lush and drippy under my bare feet, the cool magic of the night still held in each tiny drop.
This is a gift.
Time in our yard, the grass awaiting my care, the birds singing overhead and the sun shining down on me in the morning dew. Gifts I understand I must care for … gently, fiercely, and compassionately.
This new way of life … of cooking, and making art, and taking such joy in figuring out the nuts and bolts of homemaking and marketing, and of learning how to better be in relationships …
The dust settles. The sun shines. All is well.
With so much gratitude ~
