Wishcasting Wednesday: How Do You Wish To Be Brave?

Every Wednesday, the incredibly talented Jamie Ridler, of Jamie Ridler Studios, posts a Wishcasting prompt.

I’ve made a place, a beautiful page on my blog, to cradle my wishes and dreams.

Some weeks I answer her prompt, and some weeks I don’t quite get to it.  On the days when I do make time to honor my wishes and dreams, they’ll be here, on the Wishcasting Wednesday page of my blog.

So here’s to my Wishcast for March 30, 2011 ~

Wishcasting Wednesday: How do you wish to be brave?

I’ve never considered myself to be a brave girl.  I generally check things out pretty thoroughly before I risk anything.  Historically my actions have been more closely related to emotion than to bravery.

Those who’ve known me for many years, though, may say that I’ve become more brave.  I’m finding my way, my voice, my place.

I’m learning that I have to find courage in order to continue this journey that I’ve chosen. It’s a journey full of hard work and determination, but it leads back to my center, my heart and family ~ temporary endurance to get back to what is most precious to me.

Finding my way requires me to step out of my comfort zone sometimes ~ but the magic is, that as soon as I think it’s going to be really uncomfortable, it all feels perfectly right. The people, the words, the resources are there for me, just when I need them ~ with abundance!

In writing this, I realize that I’ve been brave in many ways, so today’s prompt is asking how I wish to be brave in moving forward.

I wish to be brave in continuing to expand my knowledge and my vision. I wish to find the courage to honor those dreams that are still finding their way to my surface … the ones that are in the works, and I can’t yet even tell you what they look like.

I wish to be brave in living a life of wholeness. I wish to have the courage and strength of the two beautiful women, Tiffany and Summer, who are each on their own journey toward miraculous recovery and new life after cancer.  They are each, through their disease, teaching others to be strong.  They are each changing the world, and I thank both of them for inspiring me to be brave. My heart, and my life are expanded.

I wish to be brave when it’s time to take the next step as it appears before me, even when I can faintly see it.  I wish to be brave-enough to speak when my voice is needed. I wish to listen, and honor my spirit when it’s time to act, and she says, “You’re all grown up now.  Be brave, and show others how to do the same.”

So, How do you wish to be brave?

  4. Jane, you share your bravery with us and inspire us to take brave steps. How wonderful to desire bravery in continuing to expand knowledge and vision and in living a life of wholeness!

I seek to be brave by continuing to take steps toward my dreams even as I become incredibly uncomfortable, afraid, nauseous and filled with doubt. Knowing that they only way to get to the other side (the place where the dream comes to fruition) is to walk through the fires of fear and doubt while keeping soul and spirit healthy and cared for.

Thank you for linking to my post 🙂

  6. Hi Jane,
I wish to be brave by continuing to follow the path of mindful eating and everyday physical activity. I wish to always remember how much better I feel by taking better care of myself. I wish to be brave by believing in my own capablities. When I take the time at the end of everyday to see all that I’ve done I feel strength all through me. Thanks for this post Jane!
