Wishcasting Wednesday: What is Your Winter Wish?

Every Wednesday, the incredibly talented Jamie Ridler, of Jamie Ridler Studios, posts a Wishcasting prompt.

I’ve made a place, a beautiful page on my blog, to cradle my wishes and dreams.

Some weeks I answer her prompt, and some weeks I don’t quite get to it.  On the days when I do make time to honor my wishes and dreams, they’ll be here, on the Wishcasting Wednesday page of my blog.

So here’s to my Wishcast for December 19,  2012 ~

Wishcasting Wednesday: What is Your Winter Wish?

My son is 25 years old.  Last night I dreamed that he was a baby, maybe 9 months old.  He was restless, and unhappy, and I was trying to comfort him.  We were in a lovely place, with a few other people around, with lots of doors from which to choose.  I picked up a yellow patchwork quilt … it was brand new.  The moment I brought it close to him he relaxed, and held it close.  I wrapped the rest of the quilt around him … surrounding him in warmth, yellow light, and love.

He settled, and found comfort.  As his mother, so did I.

My winter wish is comfort.  Peace.  Happiness.  Compassion.  Love.

That we might offer these things to one another, and to ourselves.

That we might each be a source … a place others can trust, to give and receive.

Hold the world close in your heart.  Hold those who most resist.  Hold those who are hardest to hold.  Hold those who beg for touch.

You are a healer … we are all healers.

“We all have the power, and it grows when it is shared.” ~ Magi from Ferngully, The Last Rainforest

Ask for what you need … give to those in need.

I’m wishing you a winter of growth and healing,

With biggest love until next time ~
