Wishcasting Wednesday: What is your Winter Wish?

Every Wednesday, the incredibly talented Jamie Ridler, of Jamie Ridler Studios, posts a Wishcasting prompt.

I’ve made a place, a beautiful page on my blog, to cradle my wishes and dreams.

Some weeks I answer her prompt, and some weeks I don’t quite get to it.  On the days when I do make time to honor my wishes and dreams, they’ll be here, on the Wishcasting Wednesday page of my blog.

So here’s to my Wishcast for December 22, 2010 ~

Wishcasting Wednesday: What Is Your Winter Wish?

It’s an exciting Wintry Week!  Sandwiched between two family weekends have been the full, cold, winter moon, the lunar eclipse, and Winter Solstice.  Each powerful in their own right … in tandem, beautifully magical.  In addition to the celestial presence, I’m looking forward to being with my family in Virginia again this weekend.  I love that we’ve had frequent ‘occasions’ to be together recently.

My Winter Wish is that this winter will not be a time of hibernation, but of preparation.  I hear the voices of my friends and family, of all ages, who are ready to create, ready to explore, ready to be engaged.  I hear anticipation, excitement, and a touch of anxiety.  People I care deeply about are graduating, passing important tests, stepping into new ventures … stepping into their future.

I want success for them.  I want success for myself.  Success in fulfillment, in happiness, in a deep feeling of accomplishment.

My Winter Wish is that in simply wishing this, I can heighten my awareness, deepen my prayers, open my eyes and heart to opportunities that are presented to me.  That I will not squander a gift.  That I will not miss an opportunity to share a gift with another.

Happy winter, and Merry Christmas ~

So, what is your winter wish?
