Wishcasting Wednesday: What Do You Wish To Enjoy?

Every Wednesday, the incredibly talented Jamie Ridler, of Jamie Ridler Studios, posts a Wishcasting prompt.

I’ve made a place, a beautiful page on my blog, to cradle my wishes and dreams.

I’m guessing that some weeks I’ll answer her prompt, and some weeks I may not get to it.  On the days when I do make time to honor my wishes and dreams, they’ll be here, on the Wishcasting Wednesday page of my blog.

So here’s to my Wishcast for November 3, 2010 ~

Wishcasting Wednesday: What Do You Wish To Enjoy?

When I was a girl, raking leaves was probably my least favorite chore … at-least the actual raking of leaves.  What I loved was putting on old flannel shirts and warm socks, gloves, and a hat and trekking outside for a Saturday morning with my family.

We’d rake leaves into a big ditch in front of our house, where the huge pile of leaves would stay until the leaf-sucker came along.  Hated the raking, but loved the jumping.  Loved laying, supported in the crunchy pile, even with mysterious things poking me through my clothes.  Laying quietly, trying to be so still that the leaves didn’t make any sound … it was impossible.  With even a very gentle breath, they’d crackle just a little, muffled through my hat, through the depth of the pile.

I loved laying there, looking up at the autumn sky, learning something about just being.

I wish to enjoy autumn.  I wish to take walks in crunchy leaves. rake a pile if I must, and lie down, watching the blue sky overhead … wondering where it ends.  I wish to ride my bike with the cool air on my face, leaves falling around me and under my tires, they’ll blow around a little as I fly by.  I wish for a bonfire with people laughing, and hot chocolate under the clear night sky … and maybe later, we’ll lay on a blanket and count the stars.

I wish to enjoy autumn.

Also, I wish to tell the other Wishcasters that I visit many of your blogs, but my laptop, my only personal computer, locks up when I try to leave comments on blogspot blogs.  As you wish for yourself, so I whole-heartedly wish for you also.  I’ll keep trying.  🙂

So, What Do You Wish to Enjoy?
