Wishcasting Wednesday … What Do You Wish To Renew?

Every Wednesday, the incredibly talented Jamie Ridler, of Jamie Ridler Studios, posts a Wishcasting prompt.

I’ve made a place, a beautiful page on my blog, to cradle my wishes and dreams.

Some weeks I answer her prompt, and some weeks I don’t quite get to it.  On the days when I do make time to honor my wishes and dreams, they’ll be here, on the Wishcasting Wednesday page of my blog.

So here’s to my Wishcast for January 12, 2011 ~

Wishcasting Wednesday: What Do You Wish To Renew?

Today, I wish to renew my focus.

I have time-enough to fill a bottle, and desire-enough to fill a barrel. I continually stir the barrel, climbing inside, examining the inner, wooden belly, taking a spoonfull of this and a scoop of that ~ more than I can fit into my small, milky blue bottle.

I wish to renew my focus.  I wish to leave the barrel alone long-enough for the water to still, so that I can see my own reflection. When it becomes clear, I can then skim the surface, taking only what I need to fill my bottle for this day. Tomorrow, the surface will be calm and still … focused.  I will clearly see what I want and need to take, from my barrel of desires.

So, what do you wish to renew?
