Wishcasting Wednesday … What Do You Wish To Say Yes To?

Every Wednesday, the incredibly talented Jamie Ridler, of Jamie Ridler Studios, posts a Wishcasting prompt.

I’ve made a place, a beautiful page on my blog, to cradle my wishes and dreams.

Some weeks I answer her prompt, and some weeks I don’t quite get to it.  On the days when I do make time to honor my wishes and dreams, they’ll be here, on the Wishcasting Wednesday page of my blog.

So here’s to my Wishcast for January 5, 2011 ~

Wishcasting Wednesday: What Do You Wish To Say Yes To?

Yes is a word very different from “I should” or “I feel like I have to.”

Today, Yes means, “I will, because I wholeheartedly want to!”

I’ve been saying “Yes, I need to do that”, “Yes, I have to accomplish this before I can get there.” While this may be true in order for me to meet my goals, I’m happy to invite a simple “Yes … I will because I wholeheartedly want to!”

I wish to say yes to taking care of myself … simple exercise and good nutrition. These are key to my physical, mental, and spiritual wholeness.  When I spend too much time ‘doing’ and not enough time checking in to see what I need, I can really neglect these two wonderful tools.

The days are getting longer ~ It’s daylight when I leave work, so I have more time to go for walks.

“Yes, I will, because I wholeheartedly want to!”

      Hi Ruth ~ Self care is my foundation. When this slips away, so does everything else. It requires my daily attention, but is so worth it when we do it well … some days are better than others.
