Wishcasting Wednesday: What Do You Wish To Know?

Every Wednesday, the incredibly talented Jamie Ridler, of Jamie Ridler Studios, posts a Wishcasting prompt.

I’ve made a place, a beautiful page on my blog, to cradle my wishes and dreams.

Some weeks I answer her prompt, and some weeks I don’t quite get to it.  On the days when I do make time to honor my wishes and dreams, they’ll be here, on the Wishcasting Wednesday page of my blog.

So here’s to my Wishcast for May 4, 2011 ~

Wishcasting Wednesday: What Do You Wish To Know?

So, what do you wish to know?

I’m learning to live my life with ‘trust and not knowing’ … it’s working out okay for me so-far … and when it doesn’t, I turn back to trust and not knowing, and understand that I just haven’t quite found my way yet.  I trust that God will open doors, and show me the next right thing to do.

There are things I wish to know, but as I write, and backspace, and rewrite, and backspace, I find that I know the answers to those wishes already … so in writing, in these moments, I no longer need to wish it so.

So, perhaps from my heart, my wishes are content with not knowing for now.

On a more practical level, I can wish to know my theories, my practices, and my vocabulary with comfort and fluency.   As one who has lived most of her live intuitively, these are a particular challenge for me.  I work well with my heart and my hands … it is time to engage my mouth, my voice, as well.  This I am working on.

Last but not least, I wish to know where my Cray-Pas are ~ I’ve looked everywhere but can’t find them … and I have a big sheet of paper just waiting for their vibrant color!

Leave a comment below…who knows, you may feel inspired to start your own Wishcasting page.

Thanks for stopping by today. I’m so glad you’re here.

Take good care,

Love,

    • Hi Shannon, thanks so much for stopping by. Letting go of the need to know, to understand completely gives us much freedom to continue the journey. Thank you for the wish ~

  6. I think it’s great that you’re able to let go and let God in a way and to allow the understanding to come naturally.

As you wish for yourself, so I truly wish for you also.

    • Hi Mare ~ I think I’ve come to this place as a result of running myself dry trying to figure things out. There came a time when I realized that I couldn’t know what I wanted to, so I needed to find a way that was more kind to myself. Letting go has allowed the magic of mystery and of God’s grace to enter.

Thank you for stopping by ~

    • Hi Aileen ~ I read each of these comments just over two weeks ago. My days have been incredibly full, and I’m so glad to return here tonight to read them again and write back to each of you.

Once I got completely used to the concept, “trust and not knowing” became the easiest path for me. The challenging part for me was always the struggle to “know” … the desire gaze into a crystal ball I didn’t possess.

I’m sending many good wishes for your journey. You are an amazing person, and as you wish for yourself, I wholeheartedly wish for you as well.

  7. To surrender to what is and be okay with that seem to me a beautiful thing. It seem to me that our highest self knows all we need to know yet somehow on some level a part of us forgets that.

As you wish for yourself I wish for you also.

And I hope you find your Cray Pas:)
Tia Tuenge recently posted..Wishcasting Wednesday- What do you wish to know

    • Hi Tia ~ I did indeed find my Cray Pas … guess there were other things I needed to experience before I found them. 🙂

I think you’re right … and when we can get out of our own way, our highest self guides us perfectly to what we ultimately need for wholeness.

Thank you for the wish ~

  10. Yeah for knowning you don’t need to “know”!!! 🙂

As always, a post with deep personal resonance for me, Jane. Learning to be “OK” without knowing the facts, or the next move, or the future…well, it’s been a challenge but a good one. Practicing not needing to know has brought me great peace at times when, for all intents and purposes, I shouldn’t have been feeling peaceful in the least.

    Hope you find your lostlings!

As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well!

    • Lostlings found … and had the beautiful opportunity to play with them this past weekend with my 24 year old son. We each spent a little time drawing out our dreams. What a gift!

…. so not knowing where the Cray-Pas were, and not knowing where I’ll be 6 months from now, or even tomorrow … all gifts.

Thank you for your kind, sweet words, and for the wish 🙂

      x’s and o’s right back at-ya …

    • Hi Sherri! Thanks so much for the wish, and for stopping by. I did find my Cray-Pas, and had a chance to play with them this weekend with my son. It was a lovely few minutes which this mom will cherish. Asking, and waiting for the right time are amazing gifts.

  12. Woah, I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday again and I haven’t had a chance to write back to each of you individually. Busy, crazy, but so much good stuff going on. Well, I haven’t found my Cray-Pas, I have found a bit more of my voice, and have learned more about my practices … for today, a place of trust and not knowing is good for me.

    Have a beautiful week ~
